WIBW's Peg Wittmer has been awarded the American Advertising Federation of Topeka Silver Medal Award. The Silver Medal is the highest award given to an individual by the Topeka Advertising Federation.

Peg has been the Top Sales Leader at WIBW-TV for 6 years. The latest accomplishment in storied career of success.

About Peg:
Peg’s career started with winning top honors in her first job driving an Ice Cream Truck in Topeka! Her positions in advertising include: KTOP Radio Sales Manager, KTPK Radio, KOSI Radio in Denver, Director of Advertising and PR for Theatre in Colorado, Sales Manager KLWN/KLZR, Sales Manager TCI Cable Topeka, Special Project Manager for Topeka Capital Journal. Fox TV 43, Special Projects/Advertising WIBW-TV.

Peg created and sold first Radio and Television Talk Show for KU Women’s Basketball, created and soldout first Radio Network for Women’s Basketball and KU, voice of KU Women’s Basketball Team for 28 years.

The Silver Medal Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the advertising community. The Silver Medal Award recognizes creative ability and outstanding contributions to the advertising profession as a whole, as well as to the community. The decision to give a Silver Medal Award for a particular year and the selection of the recipient is made by a committee of past honorees.
