A police chase put a pair of Topeka schools on high alert Monday afternoon.

Eudora Police Capt. Daniel Flick says officers received a report Sept. 29 of an unresponsive infant at the Sunshine Kids Group Daycare Home.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on I-470 early Monday afternoon, the Kansas Highway Patrol says.
