There is trouble for the two largest non-profit groups in our state.

With the recent tornadoes, flooding and wind damage we have had it's caused major financial struggles for the Salvation Army and American Red Cross that provide disaster relief to Kansas.

Recent tornadoes in Kansas cities such as Chapman and Salina as well as the ongoing flooding throughout Western Missouri have
left the Salvation Army scrambling for money to help.

The relief fund of the American Red Cross has also been heavily impacted.

How do people with little means get help when Insurance companies are taking advantage of them? My step Daughter had her car hammerd by the june 2 2008 soft ball size hail she thought she was coverd after all she was paying for full coverage one her car she had rebuilt for her be for the hail her car did not have a single scrach on it.Then come June 2 and her 2002 kia optama fully loaded with 68 thousand mile was smashed her insurance said total loss at least $6900 then the next day came a lot of back peddleing and the insurance co.kept calling and hanging up then when she finaly got hold of them she was told she was only going to get $900 for her car and nothing more.We have tried to get an attorney but with little money we had little luck it is a shame that a progrssive customer gets primitive service.
