Registered voters in Shawnee County will be getting mail from the county election office in the coming days.
The mailing is to verify the addresses of registered voters. It will also let people know the location of their polling place and the various districts in which they live. The elections office says to take special note of voting locations, because several have changed since the last election.
Those who receive a certificate for someone who no longer lives at that address should simply write "return to sender... not at this address" and give it back to the mail carrier.
People who don't receive a certificate in the next few days should call the Shawnee County Election Office at (785) 266-0285.
For a list of voting locations that have changed, see the attached document.
