Hoch Road Accident

The man killed in an accident late Saturday night north of Silver Lake is identified as 20-year old Mathhew Runyan of Silver Lake.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened just before 11 pm Saturday in the 4100 block of NW Hoch Road. Officials say Runyan's 1996 Jeep Cherokee left the road for an unknown reason, struck a ditch culvert and became airborne.

Sheriffs deputies say Runyan was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene.

Runyan was alone in the vehicle.
