TOPEKA -- For the third year Wendy’s will be making a charitable contribution to a local charity in conjunction with their giving back campaign.
This year the Topeka Rescue Mission Charity was selected. With the purchase of airtime from Legacy Restaurant Group and donated airtime from Cumulus Broadcasting, the Giving Back Campaign was promoted across all six local Cumulus Broadcasting stations (KMAJ-FM, KDVV-FM, KTOP-FM, KWIC-FM, KMAJ-AM, KTOP-AM).
Part of every purchase made at a Topeka Wendy's eatery through December 12th was given to the Topeka Rescue Mission. On Tuesday at 3:00, Wendy’s Restaurant of Topeka owner Kirk Williams and Vice President Jill Lincoln of Legacy Restaurant Group will honor the legacy of Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas by presenting the Topeka Rescue Mission a check for $6000. The donation ceremony will take place at the main shelter of the Topeka Rescue Mission in the chapel at 600 North Kansas Avenue.
The Topeka Rescue Mission is a non-denominational Christian Organization dedicated to helping the homeless by providing emergency shelter, meals, clothing, other needed items, programs, and services to homeless men, women, and families, as well as providing food and other necessities to the needy.
