Washburn Tech Offers Unique Summer Camp Experience

(13 News at 4) - Summer camps at Washburn Tech give middle school students innovative, hands-on experience in careers in the areas of construction, health care, human services, technology and transportation. One day, campers might use their hands to build a project or fix a car. The next day, they might take someone’s blood pressure or work heavy equipment.

Campers attend from 9 a.m.– 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Sessions for students entering seventh and eighth grades are scheduled for June 2-5 and June 9-12. A session for students entering ninth and tenth grades will be held June 16-19.

Each session costs $75 which includes breakfast, lunch and morning/afternoon snacks. Applications are due by Wednesday, May 7.
