Washburn Receives National Recognition

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - One of the best colleges in the United States is in the Capital City.

Washburn University is recognized as a top-ranked public master's level university and as a best college in the 2013 rankings from U.S. News and World Report.

The university was ranked 20th among public institutions in the Midwest. Washburn also ranks third among regional universities in the Midwest for students graduating with the least debt.

Emporia State University also ranked in the top 100 regional universities of 2013. Among Midwest institutions, it came in 35th.
