TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - After 15 years at the helm of Washburn University, Dr. Jerry Farley shows no sign of slowing down in his efforts to move the school forward.
Farley appeared Friday on 13 News at 4. He talked about the opportunities which lie ahead for the Washburn Technical Institute campus. He also discussed changes pending on the main campus, including a planned revamp of Morgan Hall into an official Welcome Center for the university. A new law school building also is in the works for the corner of SW 21st and Washburn.
Among challenges for 2013, Farley says, funding continues to be of concern, with a keen eye toward budget talks in the Kansas Legislature.
