TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Washburn University School of Law professor was summoned by the Kansas Supreme Court Friday. But it was a good visit.

Chief Justice Lawton Nuss led a special session of the Kansas Supreme Court to present the Court's Justice Award to Prof. James Concannon.

Concannon has served as a distinguished law professor and previously was the law school's dean. He has also served as a member of the Supreme Court rules advisory committee and the Kansas Commission on Judicial Performance.
