TOPEKA – Visit Topeka Inc. will hold a press conference Tuesday morning at 9:00, to announce the 12 winners of the Topeka Treasure Hunt. The media and public are invited to attend at the Visit Topeka Inc. office, 1275 SW Topeka Boulevard.
Mayor Bill Bunten will be present to announce the winners. Prizes include $300, $200, free meals, gift certificates to local businesses and more. Everyone who completed the Topeka Treasure Hunt and turned in a photo album by the deadline last Tuesday, July 26th, is eligible to win one of the 12 total prize packages. Winners are invited to the press conference to receive their prize, but are not required to be present to win.
The 3rd Annual Topeka Treasure Hunt was made up of 15 stops and was designed to help residents explore unique locations and attractions in Topeka while offering a chance to win prizes. The event began May 10 and ended July 26. This year’s hunt featured new locations, all of which offer free admission.
Participants began the treasure hunt at the Visit Topeka Inc. office by picking up a free information packet and the first clue. Treasure Hunt sponsors included WIBW, H&R Block, Mulvane Art Museum, The Topeka Capital-Journal and the Kansas Historical Society.
