TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Personal stories helped get the word out about rape and domestic violence at the Statehouse.

Visitors could read through touching stories about women who were killed through rape or domestic violence.

The silent witness story boards are life-sized silhouettes that help people see the impact of deaths related to violence.

29 rape crisis and domestic violence centers from across the state were also at the Capitol, sharing the services they provide for victims.
