TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - After five months of construction and detours, Urish Road is back open!

Crews closed the road between SW 33rd and SW Swonthold in March to begin a widening project.

Urish Road was widened to three lanes with added storm sewers and sidewalks built along both sides of the road.

The road opened to all traffic Friday afternoon even though there are some final items to be completed, like seeding.
