(WIBW) - Heartland Visioning and Washburn University are partnering to host Topeka's first "Conversation on Poverty."
The event will use what's described as an "unconference" approach, where the participants will begin the day by setting their own agenda of issues they wish to see addressed. The event is Wednesday, June 11 at Washburn's Memorial Union.
Mikki Burcher and Michaela Saunders visited 13 News at 4 to talk about it.
