TOPEKA (13 News) -- Excited, humbled and grateful were some of the reactions of the newest entrants into Topeka's Business Hall of Fame Thursday night.

The audience at the Downtown Ramada was filled with well-wishers, as a who's who of the local business community honored Eldon Danenhauer, Terry Kimes and Frances Dudley as the members of the 2013 Class. Bob Brock of Brock Hotel Management was inducted posthumously.

Danenhauer carries a long resume of accomplishments into the Hall. His ownership of the area Coors distributorship is combined with 22 years with CoreFirst Bank, and another nine years with American Home Life Insurance. His community involvement includes service with United Way, the Topeka Chamber, serving on the Board of St. Francis for nine years, and his long work on the Public Employees Relations Board for the State of Kansas.

"It's just a great honor to be recognized by your peers," he told 13 News before last night's banquet.

Terry Kimes of Mize Houser & Company P.A. was beaming as his family and many friends came to wish him well.

"I'm humbled, I never expected this, because you're being honored for something you'd do naturally. But I'm very excited."

Kimes, in addition to his years with the accounting firm, has worked as a local champion for entrepreneurs, and bringing more jobs into Topeka. He too, has been an active community service leader.

Frances Dudley was surrounded by her family, including a daughter who made the trip in from Aspen, Colorado to be with her mother on the special induction night. The Florist's Review has been a colorful magazine detailing the floral industry. She acknowledges their magazine's legacy was sealed, by compiling information from the 100 plus years of their Review magazine and publishing it as "The History of the American Florist."

"I'm so surprised, so thrilled, and so honored to be included in the Hall," she told us last night. Congratulations to the new class!
