TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Toepka radio station asked everyone to "be an everyday hero."
Country Legends 106.9 held a radio-thon Friday for the Kansas Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The 12-hour live broadcast from Fairlawn Plaza mall featured stories from community members and families whose lives were affected by the organization's emergency relief efforts throughout the 16-county region it serves.
