TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka High School's Marine Corps JROTC program paid tribute to military members Thursday.

Cadets hosted a ceremony to support and honor the many veterans in the Topeka community.

They also honored the many students of Topeka High, past and present, who have defended our country.

As part of the ceremony, cadets rolled out an empty, flag-draped casket to depict a funeral service for those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.

They also showed students how to fold the American flag properly.
