FROM TCT -- Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy announced their summer musical tonight to a crowd of theatre supporters, volunteers, and patrons. The smash hit musical, Les Misérables, will be performed July 12 – August 10, 2013.
Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy will be one of the first community theatres in the nation to perform the show, which has played exclusively on Broadway and through national tours since the 1980’s and remains one of the top selling and longest running productions of all time.
A motion picture of the same name starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Anne Hathaway is being released on Christmas Day.
Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy looks forward to holding auditions for Les Misérables cast members in May 2013 and presenting the show in the summer of 2013. Tickets go on sale to the general public on July 2nd, and earlier for season members and donors.
