TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Topeka Rotary Foundation awarded grants totaling $15,000 today.
The group says it hopes to improve the quality of life in Topeka and Shawnee County. The foundation awarded Easter Seals Capper Foundation $2,000 for its bicycle program for children with disabilities.
I Care received $3,000 for a community vegetable garden. The Kansas Children's Discovery Center will use $3,000 to provide field trips for students living at the Topeka Rescue Mission.
The Marion Clinic received $3,600 for new dental tools and The Villages got $3,400 for Adventure Camp equipment.
