TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Topeka Police Department's 33rd Citizens’ Academy is underway.
Classes began Thursday night. They will include optional sessions to learn more about the police department.
During Thursday's session, attendees toured the law enforcement center and met with command staff. On September 21st, participants can experience emergency driving, the firearms range and K-9 unit demonstrations. Another future session will focus on the Topeka Fire Department.
