TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- City Manager Jim Colson is hoping the public will help in the search of a new Topeka Police Chief.
Topeka residents are invited to the public meeting, from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 9th, in the Holliday Conference Room, 620 SE Madison.
City Manager, Jim Colson, hopes to establish community priorities for the position and update the public on the search process and timeline.
Those who cannot attend this meeting can participate in a public engagement poll to be released online. Those not able to participate can call the City Manager’s Office with comments, (785) 368-3725.
President Barack Obama has nominated current Topeka Police Chief Ronald Miller to serve as U.S. Marshal for Kansas. Miller was sworn in as Chief of the Topeka Police Department in September 2006.
