TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A new pet food operation is making its way to Topeka.
Go Topeka President and CEO Doug Kinsinger made the announcement during Thursday night's Joint Economic Development Organization meeting.
Crosswind Industries purchased the old Strathman Distribution Center in east Topeka to open the location. The company will move in early next year, creating 62 full time jobs in the Topeka community.
According to its web site, Crosswind is headquartered in Parkville, Missouri, with an administrative office in Sabetha and a packaging facility in Hiawatha,
Also at Thursday's JEDO meeting, Alorica announced it will be expanding. The company, located on SW 29th St., is looking to add 280 full-time jobs and retain 170 others.
They currently have about 300 employees at their Topeka call center, but can accommodate 1,000.
