TOPEKA -- Helping Hands Humane Society invites you to the 15th annual Paws in the Park. Paws in the Park will be held on Saturday, September 17h from 9 am to noon at Gage Park (south side of the Rose Garden).
The event will include a pancake feed beginning at 9am followed by a one-mile “mutt strut” through Gage Park. The vendor field will be filled with over 50 vendors offering the latest items in pet gear and general merchandise. A silent auction will be ongoing throughout the event. There will be plenty of pet contests, games, activities for kids and fun for people and their four-legged friends. Don’t have a pet? You can rent a shelter dog at Paws in the Park for the event. !
People may register at Helping Hands Humane Society or online at www. hhhstopeka.org. You may bring, mail or fax your registration forms to the shelter. Registration is $30 prior to the event and $40 the day of the event. A pre-registration party will be held on Friday, September 16th at Gage Park from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Once registered, you will receive a Paws in the Park t-shirt, pet bandana and bag of goodies. All pets must wear the bandana to participate in events.

All proceeds from Paws in the Park benefit the Helping Hands Humane Society and make it possible to care for the nearly 9,000 lost, abandoned and abused animals received each year.
