NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP/CBS NEWS)-- New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was led out of his home by police Wednesday morning and taken away in the back of a North Attleboro police cruiser, CBS Boston station WBZ-TV reports.

A Boston semi-pro football player was recently found dead in an industrial park a mile from Hernandez's house. Family members say the dead man, 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, was dating a woman whose sister is Hernandez's fiancee. Officials ruled the death a homicide but did not say how Lloyd died.

On Wednesday, Hernandez was wearing a white T-shirt and had his arms inside the shirt and behind his back as two officers escorted him out the front of his home and into the car around 8:45 a.m.

No other details are available at this point in the investigation.
