Organizations Earn National Honors For Keeping America Beautiful

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Efforts to keep America beautiful earned several Topeka area groups national recognition.

Keep America Beautiful of Topeka and Shawnee County honored the achievements at a luncheon Tuesday.

Custom Tree Care, Collective Brands, Shawnee County Parks and Rec, Eisenhower Middle School and Waste Management of kansas were all honored at the 60th annual Keep America Beautiful national conference held recently in Washington, D.C.

The groups were part of a nationwide awards program offered through Keep America Beautiful. More than 700 KAB affiliates competed for the awards.
