MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- The address already dons the letterhead at the Kansas Dept. of Agriculture as it prepares for its 56-mile move from the state capital to Manhattan.
The agency officially opens for business in its new quarters on Monday. The 3-story building is on the edge of the Kansas State University, next to the National Bio- And Agro-Defense Facility, which is still under construction.
The Dept. of Agriculture announced plans for the move last year, saying it made sense to by located in what officials described as the hub for the future of agriculture and biosciences in Kansas.
