Conducts surveillance or participate in undercover assignments. Develops accurate, detailed and impartial reports of investigative findings and provide recommendations for civil, criminal, or administrative action. Testifies as an investigative witness in administrative and/or court proceedings resulting from investigations. Assists in reviewing cases to determine scope, timing and direction of investigations. Works alongside Assistant Attorney Generals in developing cases for administrative and/or criminal trials. Serves subpoenas or other official papers. Provides training and acts as a liaison between the Kansas Attorney General’s Office and local county and district attorneys, law enforcement and regulatory agencies. This is a sworn law enforcement position requiring the use of a firearm for law enforcement duties and therefore, candidates cannot have been convicted of, and must be free of any diversions from, a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence crime.
