TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The role of Topeka city government was just one of the talking points at the Citizen Government Review Committee.
The city gets an ordinance every ten years to review local government and issue a report on areas of concern.
The review committee can also recommend changes to the cities current form of government.
"I think its particularly important that we have a group of citizens that look at government. Is the city government processing in the right way to carry out the wishes of constituents," Mayor Larry Wolgast.
The citizen committee will have to make there recommendations to the council by June. Wolgast said he is looking forward to the process.
