TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--The Kansas state highway system is moving up the rankings in overall highway performance and efficiency.
The state is ranked 2nd overall in the nation, up one spot from a previous report by Reason Foundation.
Kansas ranked 11th in interstate congestion, 16th in deficient bridges, 24th in rural interstate pavement condition and 32nd in fatality rate.
There are more than 10,000 miles of highway under the state's control.
North Dakota ranked number one.
