K-State Volleyball Fans Encouraged To Wear Pink Saturday

K-State Volleyball Fans Encouraged to Wear Pink Saturday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State Athletics is encouraging all fans to wear pink to this Saturday’s home volleyball match against Texas Tech to support Dig Pink and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. First serve is set for 3 p.m. at Ahearn Field House, and fans who purchase an adult general admission ticket will receive a free general admission youth ticket.

The Wildcats will be wearing pink warm-up shirts, and fans can receive pink Point Cats signs at the Fan Experience and Sales gazebo before the match. Twizzlers and pink popcorn will be available for only $2 at the concessions stand, and health organizations will be on hand with informational tables set up for fans to visit pre-game.

In addition to the free youth ticket with an adult ticket promotion, K-State is also offering discounted advance-purchase group tickets for $3 to a number of organizations and health care facilities associated with breast cancer. For more information on these discounted tickets, contact the Fan Experience and Sales Office at 785-532-6650 by noon Friday.

Saturday will be another Team/Camper Day with youth volleyball teams getting free admission when they register with the Fan Experience and Sales Office by noon Friday. All volleyball teams in the state of Kansas and volleyball players that attended a Wildcat Volleyball Camp this summer are eligible for free admission. To reserve a spot for your team, call 785-532-7742 by noon Friday.

It will also be Cheney Community Day and fans from the hometown of junior outside hitter Courtney Traxson can receive discounted tickets when purchasing online. For information on the promo code to receive the discounted tickets for Cheney Community Day contact the Fan Experience and Sales Office at 785-532-6650.

The Wildcats are 17-3 on the year, the best record through 20 matches in a season since starting the 2008 campaign with the same record. K-State is currently ranked No. 14 in the AVCA Coaches Poll, and Wildcat fans rank 20th in the nation in attendance with an average of more than 1,800 per match at Ahearn Field House this season.
