Highland Park Scots Need Help Returning to Scotland

(13 News at 4) - It's an honor to be invited even once performing dramatically at an acting festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.

But the Highland Park HIgh School theatre program students have been invited back for a repeat performance.

The festival is coming up later this summer and students are busy raising money. Seven students are expected to attend. None was part of the group that previously traveled to the festival.

Highland Park is among 46 schools invited to take part out of more than 2300 nominated.

The students will present special performances of "Play It Til We Get It Right" 7 pm Friday, April 25 and 2 pm Sunday, April 27, as part of their fundraising activities.

You can learn more about donating by calling 785-274-6119 and find information about all their fundraising events at www.facebook.com/Scots2Scotland.

Hear students Corey Jackson and Cynthia Gross talk about how much theatre has meant in their lives in the video above.
