TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- It will be at least two weeks before the curtain rises on a new chapter for Topeka's Helen Hocker Theater.

Shawnee County Commissioners heard presentations Monday morning from four applicants looking to manage the theater property, located within Gage Park.

Applicants include the Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy, SMG- the company that runs the Expocentre, the Topeka Law Office of Bruce D. Woolpert and Helen Hocker's Board of Directors.

Each applicant has a very different view on how to run the program. Each proposal is linked at the top of this article.

Commissioners will discuss the applications and proposals next at their Dec. 17 meeting.
