TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling known as "Citizens United versus the Federal Election Commission" is the focus of an upcoming panel discussion in Topeka.
The ruling took the limits off corporations, unions and not for profits, allowing them to contribute any amounts to political campaigns.
The Topeka Center for Peace and Justice hosts a forum on the high court ruling at 7 pm Thursday in the Washburn Law Center, Room 114.
Center Director Jim McCollough and board member Duane Johnson spoke about the ruling and the forum during a Tuesday visit to the13 News at 4.
