(13 News at 4) - National Health Care Decision Day encourages families to think about decisions they would make at a time when they are not able to make them.
The day is observed April 16th. On that day in Topeka, information tables staffed by health professionals will be available from 10 am to 2 pm at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library as well as inside the North Tower main entrance at Stormont-Vail HealthCare. Sample forms also will be available to complete a living will or durable medical power of attorney.
Anne Kindling, risk management manager at Stormont-Vail, visited Melissa Brunner on 13 News at 4 to discuss why sharing these decisions as families is so important.
