TOPEKA -- The Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL) will be partnering with Diva Designs Crops, a scrapbooking enthusiast group in Topeka, for its April scrapbooking event on Saturday, April 16th, at the Holiday Inn, 605 Fairlawn Road in Topeka. Their Spring Scrappin’ event will include 15 hours of scrapbooking and will recognize April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
According to Jennifer Matzek of Diva Designs, the group decided a few years ago they wanted to incorporate philanthropy in to their events. “Since scrapbooking is a way to celebrate and remember special people in our lives we decided we should celebrate and remember our community by choosing local organizations to support at each event. We knew our croppers are generous and charitable people who would embrace a chance to help. Our croppers come through every time and we are amazed at the amount of donations we receive to support charitable causes.”
Matzek said Diva Designs chooses organizations that fit with our crop theme or the time of year. “Children are a main focus of most of our cropper’s layouts so it was a natural fit.
“Diva Designs is excited about partnering with KCSL,” said Matzek. “Being associated with such an amazing organization is a great opportunity for us to continue to help out in the community while providing a chance for people to come together and enjoy their hobby of scrapbooking.”
