TOPEKA -- With falling leaves and cooling temperatures, the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center has a special treat for children and families. This week only the “Haunted Path” will be open from 3:00 – 5:00 PM each day this week.
There are various magical wonders along the path, including a roving magician, boo bubbles, mad science experiments and phantom pumpkins. As families walk through Discovery Hallow, they will encounter a gypsy story teller and other interesting characters. Children are welcome to wear their costumes. The Haunted Path is free for visitors with regular paid admission.
This is the first time the outdoor walking path has opened to the public. The Haunted Path will close on Sunday, October 30th at 5:00pm.
Following Halloween, the Westar Green Team and construction crews will continue their work to complete the trike path in the woods. Future outdoor plans include a tree house, water feature, outdoor classroom and other exciting exhibits that will be added as additional funding is secured.
