Kids in Shawnee County are encouraged to get active, get moving and win big with Shawnee Summer Scorecard.
Kids ages 8 to 15 are encouraged to sign up today at www.shawneesummerscorecard.com to take part in an 8-week challenge to complete 60 minutes of activity for five days each week. By submitting their hours online or to a Topeka YMCA, participants are entered into weekly drawings for prizes and eligible to win grand prizes, including a Kinect for XBox 360, at the end of the summer.
Scorecard members can visit www.shawneesummerscorecard.com to access their scorecard, submit their weekly activity hours, get information on deals and discounts, and find resources to help them stay active in Topeka.
The program will officially begin on May 30, and conclude on July 24 with a Grand Finale Celebration at the Southwest Branch of the YMCA from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event will feature activities and prizes for participants as well as the grand prize drawing.
Shawnee Summer Scorecard is sponsored by Heartland Healthy Neighborhoods, K-State Research and Extension, YMCA of Topeka and Junior League of Topeka. For more information, visit www.shawneesummerscorecard.com or contact Lisa Martin at email@example.com or 785-232-0062.
