TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Shawnee County Commissioners have set a public hearing on contracts with teamsters.
Commissioners accepted a fact finders report for no step increase or scale increase for its employees with the Teamsters Union.
That means the county can move forward with a unilateral contract after a public hearing on March 31st.
The report sided with commissioners who said they can't afford pay increases for Teamster employees in 2014 because of a decrease in revenue and the spending down of the reserve.
