TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-People weren't only shopping at the mall today, they also rolled up their sleeves for a good cause.
West Ridge Mall hosted the 'Spirit of Giving Blood Drive' today in front of the lower level of JCPenny.
Leann Delong, Community Blood Center Donor Recruiter Representative, says the number of people showing up to donate has gone down.
"Donations have been down over the holidays as they always are. We are in need of O negative and B negative blood. We are under a day's supply. So, if you could come out and donate, we would greatly appreciate it," she said.
If you would like to donate blood anytime, the Community Blood Center is located on 8th and Lane here in Topeka.
