TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Shawnee County received positive news regarding its bond rating.
Financial Administrator Betty Griner told commissioners this morning that Moody Investors removed a negative outlook from the county's GO Debt.
The last GO bond rating was AA-2 with a negative outlook. The new bond rating was received october 1st, it is for the county's general obligation bond series for 2013.
Moody's definition of a negative outlook is greater than 50 percent chance within 18 to 24 months the rating may go down.
