TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--Shawnee County Commissioners voted 2-1 Monday morning to allow the county to purchase new mowers.
The county approved the purchase of 9 new zero turn radius mowers that will be used in day to day mowing. They will be used approximately 5-8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
The $155,220 will be transferred to the Parks and Recreation vehicle and equipment fund from user fee revenues.
The old mowers will be used as back-up.
Commissioner Kevin Cook dissented the vote.
