TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Capitol Federal is helping fund a new facility that will offer crisis services to the community.

The Capitol Federal Foundation is supporting Valeo Crisis Center with a $100,000 grant.

Officials broke ground in October 2013 on the new 26,000 square foot building located at 300 SW Oakley.

The center will feature 26 crisis beds and will house people suffering with serious mental illnesses.

It will also offer educational groups focusing on overall wellness, as well as organizational and community training events.

The building is expected to be open this fall.
