TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A high ranking broadcast media official was in Topeka Tuesday.
Sales and Marketing Executives of Topeka (SME) invited Robert Winsor, the Senior Vice President of CBS Media Group to speak at Tuesday's event.
Winsor discussed CBS broadcasts and behind the scenes details you don't see on TV.
He also took time to tell young attendees what a job in broadcast media requires -- enthusiasm, creative energy, and internships are a plus.
Winsor says the biggest change he's seen is the emergence of social media.
He says 65% of CBS marketing and publicity efforts are now through social media.
