TOPEKA, Kan. - Baker's Dozen owner, Jake Wall, has a definite sweet spot for TARC. November 6th marks Baker's Dozen's third year for hosting Donuts for TARC.
This event is held at both Baker's Dozens Topeka locations: 4310 SW 21st St., and 1949 NW Topeka Boulevard.
Donuts for TARC consists of Baker's Dozen donating $2 to TARC for every dozen donuts purchased on November 6th. In addition to donut sales donations, this year they will donate 10% of all yogurt sales to TARC on November 6th.
This event is from 4 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Orders may be placed in advance and ready for pickup by calling Baker's Dozen at (785) 272-2400.
Jake's goal for this event is to sell 500 dozen donuts to raise $1,000 for TARC. That's 6,000 donuts! In addition to donut and yogurt sales, Baker's Dozen will have a "Buy a Bulb" donation station available to help donate additional funds to TARC.
Jake finds giving to TARC even more important this year as TARC faces reduced funding, but increased referral requests for services. TARC has pledged to not reduce any of its programs or services, and maintain its standards of quality.
Jake says this is his way of helping TARC continue its traditions of quality services for those with intellectual, developmental and related disabilities and delays in Shawnee County.
