Bag Day Book Sale is On the Way Saturday

TOPEKA PUBLIC LIBRARY -- Book bargain shoppers can stuff brown grocery bags (provided) full of books for just $5 a bag at the Friends of the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library Bag Day Book Sale Saturday, January 21st from 10am–4pm. This one-day sale includes both hardbound and paperback books on all topics including children’s, health, large print, mystery and suspense.

“Come early because the best bargains go fast,” said Bobbie Pfeifer, Chandler Booktique manager. “And, bring the whole family so everyone can find something to add to your bag.”

The Bag Sale is held in Marvin Auditorium. Simultaneously, shoppers can find bargains across the hall at the Chandler Booktique, our used book and gift store.

The Booktique is open Monday through Friday, 10am until 6pm, Saturday 10am until 5pm and Sunday noon until 5pm. The Friends also operate an online bookstore of rare and collectible books. For online deals, log onto http://www.tscpl.org/friends.

The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library is a 21st-century, landmark library, and features the Alice C. Sabatini Art Gallery, the Millennium Café, Chandler Booktique, meeting rooms, and free computer and Internet access and training.

Library hours are 9:00am till 9:00pm on weekdays, Saturdays from 9 till 6, and Sundays from Noon to 9:00pm.
