TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Mayor Larry Wolgast was on hand Thursday along with chamber members and exhibit sponsors to cut the ribbon and officially open the zoo's Alligator Frenzy exhibit.
Alligator Frenzy features Opal, a white North American Alligator, a feeding lagoon of 40 juvenile alligators, and an assortment of other animals that live in and around the bayou.
Alligator Frenzy has been made possible through a collaboration of many partners including the City of Topeka, Friends of the Topeka Zoo, AIDG Inc.
Alligator Frenzy runs through September 30th and is included with zoo admission. Feeding and photo opportunities are available for an additional fee.
