African American Affairs Commission Hosts Minority and Women Owned Business Conference

TOPEKA — The Kansas African American Affairs commission in conjunction with the Geary County Commission Economic Access and Opportunity Summit will be hosting Operation All Access, a conference bringing minority and women-owned business professionals together to discuss growing their businesses in Kansas. This free event will be held at the Geary County Convention Center on October 3 and 4.

Operation All Access starts with featured speaker, John A. Clendenin, Senior Associate Dean of Postgraduate Programs of IE University. There will be two breakout panel discussions which will be targeted specifically towards helping public, private, and emerging business. The goal of these sessions is to assist business owners in accessing resources and gaining information that will aide them in either relocating their business to Kansas or further building their business in Kansas.

Governor Sam Brownback will speak during lunch about the prospects for business growth in Kansas. Opportunities will be given throughout the conference to network and socialize with other business owners and entrepreneurs.
