TOPEKA -- Advance voting is beginning Monday for Topeka's City Elections on April 2nd.
Early voting starts Monday at the Shawnee County Elections Office and lasts until noon next Monday, April 1st. The election office will also plan to extend its hours from 8:00am until 6:00pm for those of you wishing to vote in advance.
Topeka's general election will have voters choosing a new mayor and a larger than normal number of Council candidates in the odd numbered districts, plus in District 2 to succeed temporary council officeholder T. J. Brown.
Important school district races, and school bond issues will be decided. Seaman and Santa Fe Trail are asking its voters about the bond issues for improvements.
