(WIBW) - Two members of the very talented music group "Pastense" is looking to the future with an acoustic music camp to be held in Topeka.
Diane Gillenwater discussed the camp on 13 News at 4.
Gillenwater says the camp will have a session for 3rd thru 5th graders and a session for middle school students. Each session is one week and runs 8 am to noon. The camp is July 15 thru 18.
Gillenwater says students will learn various types of music, focusing on bluegrass and folk. She says they will work with instruments such as guitar, violin and banjo, and even do some singing. She says they are looking for students who are passionate about music, regardless of experience.
The camp costs $80, with some opportunities for scholarships available. To enroll in the camp and learn about the financial assistance options, call Diane at 785-249-8830.
