Will Duncan lives in the area where five coal cars derailed dumping out coal onto the ground. He could hear a loud creaking sound and looked over to see the cars tipping over.
The location of the derailment is Fairchild and Porubskys in the North Topeka area. The accident happened during the noon hour.
Train traffic in the area was brought to a halt during the cleanup.
